Topaz -56.9 gm - Mason County, Texas

A 56.9 gm this clear topaz collection piece is very typical of the topaz in the alluvial deposits in the western central portion of Mason County, Texas. There is surface deformation and the cleavage plane is obvious. This is a carving grade stone.    The surfaces are abraded, there are internal inclusions and was deemed not suitable for gemstone faceting. This stone came from a ranch in the west central area of Mason county.  This stone is NOT facet grade!
